just installed comodo firewall after many years of punishment with norton and am trying to get it set up. im totally new to this so please excuse my lack of knowledge about comodo. I followed the simple setup guide for trouble free setup found in the forum somewhere and have got the firewall to work fine with almost everything and am very pleased. i play battlefield 2 online which took some getting to work but finally it work and plays just fine. the only problem i have is when i go to the server listing the server imformation is only displayed for a few servers …they are there and i can connect to them and play however something regarding the details of the game they are currently in is all missing: player names …number of players etc and the servers are red instead of normal…has it anything to do with broken packets ? any help would be much appreciated.
G’day,
There’s a comprehensive link on EA’s site about the required port settings for BF2. The URL is
Ensure that your network policy and application policy matches these settings. BF2 also uses SafeDisk for copy protection which causes a files called something like ~E5.001 to be executed. This file needs to be included in the Defense+ policies.
I’m trying to cultivate a contact inside EA to assist sorting BF2 and a few other issues out.
Hope this helps,
Ewen
