Backup process failed with code 12

Nobody seems to have posted this one yet.

Trying to back up an HP Pavilion to a WD USB Passport drive and CBU threw error 12. Anyone know anything? What details would I need to supply to help out?

Did you restart the computer after installing CB?

dianostics return ‘the app is installed correctly’

i restarted after installation.

Please follow these steps to help us determine the cause of the problem:

  1. Go to Windows → Run type "cmd.exe’ and hit Enter
  2. In cmd.exe window type “C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Comodo BackUp\CBU.exe /enabledebug”
  3. Restart CBU.exe
  4. Repeat the backup process
  5. In cmd.exe window type “C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Comodo BackUp\CBU.exe /dumpdebugcontent”
  6. Collect the “Debug.cbu” file located in the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Comodo BackUp” folder and post it here for analysis.

Debug.cbu in attached debug.zip

we noticed this problem on dynamic disks we didn’t see it on basic disks. Is there maybe a relationship?

Yes, this is the problem.
We do not support dynamic disks in Comodo BackUp yet.
This feature will be available in a future release.
