The first time I tried to run a full virus scan (right after installation yesterday), the scan froze while scanning the file:
C:\MSOCache\All Users.… OfficeLR.cab|XLSLICER.DLL.TRX_DLL_3082
I had to do a hard reboot to get out of the thing.
So, I did a fresh new restart and tried again right before bed, and the virus scan froze again on the same file (I found it that way in the morning). This time, when I tried to stop the scan (via the little button on the bottom right), I got the following error:
“Stop failed. Error code 0x800705aa. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.”
I came here to the Comodo forums and found the pinned post “AV scanner freezes during scan. What should I do?” However, its advice to disable DEP from cmdAgent.exe isn’t working for me. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and when I try to do the DEP disable, I can’t find cmdAgent.exe.
The only other thing that might have an impact is this: I loaded just the Firewall a few weeks ago, and loved the thoroughness of Comodo. And since my virus protection that came with my new computer was about to expire, I thought I’d try Comodo’s AV. So, I reran the installer and asked for both the Firewall and Antivirus to be installed. I received no error messages from the install. And when I open Comodo, I see the following tabs across the top: Summary, Antivirus, Firewall, Defense+, More… So, on the surface, it looks like everything is ok with the installation.
What things can I try to problem solve this?
Thanks much!
