I downloaded and installed the CIS Internet Security install from this link: COMODO Internet Security 3.13.126709.581 Released.
After the install, I have Summary, Firewall, Defense+ and Miscellaneous.
What happened to the Anti-Virus?
Please point me to a download that contains the latest CIS Internet Security with Anti-Virus, Firewall, Defense+ and Miscellaneous.
uninstall COMODO internet security then download it again from this link but this time please check those two options intall antivirus (recomended) and intall firewall (recomended) when you see the them like you see in this picture
The link you mention does in fact have the complete suite. Did you perhaps uncheck when it asked you if you wanted to install the antivirus?
You can go to Start → Programs → Comodo → Comodo Internet Security → Uninstall or Upgrade. When the wizard opens, select Add/Remove and ensure that you’ve selected the AV as part of your installation.
If you still do not see the AV tab, you can try running the diagnostics and see if it finds any problems. Open CIS and navigate to, Miscellaneous → Diagnostics. Does it report any issues?
Hi Folks;
Thanks for the help, but, the picture you are showing me never shows up.
I never get the chance to pick what I want installed.
I went to the Uninstall or Upgrade path that HeffeD suggested and it eventually came up with it encountered an error and had to close.
I think the .exe that I downloaded was somehow corrupted and I’ll have to download it again.
I’m on dial-up and it takes forever.
I’ll let you know how the next install goes.
The link you gave me :http://www.comodo.com/home/download/download.php?prod=cis
is for 3.13.125662.579. The link I installed “COMODO Internet Security 3.13.126709.581 Released.” is for the version that fixed the update problems. Which one should I use? I was having problems with AV updating and that is why I started this exercise.
I finally got the AV to show up on the Summary page. I’m not sure how I did it, but I uninstalled, re-booted, ran cleanup.bat, installed version 3.13.126709.581, and it didn’t work. I kept running the Uninstall or Upgrade from Start/All Programs and picking Add/Remove Install Antivirus, Install Firewall until everything was back to normal.
Now, the Summary page says that the virus database has never been updated and asks to update now. When I click Update Now, it goes to about 30% and then says “I better check my internet connection”. I have dial-up and Comodo never had problems before updating the virus database. It now says “being updated right now…”. If it can’t update the database, is there some way to manually download and update?
The initial update is approx 90 MB in size and during the download process it will. Read Where can i download the latest full AV database? and use the provided url. It supports resuming, so you can use a download manager for the download.
When done only several hundred of kB of incremental updates need to be download.
:-TU
Finally got the full AV database downloaded and all is well.
CIS recognized the database and downloaded the latest updates (took only a few minutes), and now says the virus database has been updated as of today.
