Sorry if this has been asked before. I have Comodo Firewall 3.14.13.099. The automatic updater says I have the latest version. Probably, I don’t. Is this a bug, or do I have to uninstall this version and install the newest one?

I ask this question otherwise. 
How to update CIS from 3.14.130099.587 (Firewall “-” Antivirus “+” Defence+) to 4.0.x with retention of previous settings (Firewall settings & Defence+ settings)???
Autoupdater is OFF.
I run updater (cfpupdat.exe) manually (by GUI).
And updater say to me - “Not available udates found” (translation from Russian message).
(I use Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 RU)

As of this moment there is no way to update straight from V3 to V4. The only method is to uninstall V3 and install V4. They are planning on allowing users to update to V4 via the automatic updater, but this hasn’t been released as of yet.
Also, I don’t think you can import your settings into V4, but I’m not sure.
If you do update to V4 I would advise switching it into the Proactive Security configuration as the new default is even less secure then the default in V3.

Thank you Chiron. Sorry to say, but CIS 4 is a major drawback. No automatic updater, no easy installation (as noted in other threads), no so “safe” as CIS 3 (as notef in other threads). I 'll stick to version 3. But this is unacceptable. If you weren’t ready for version 4, you shouldn’t have made it public. :-TD

Uninstall/Install isn’t a good way for upgrade any software. :-TD
