Asus' SonicFocus.exe being detected as a Trojan

Asus’ SonicFocus.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\Sonic Focus is being detected as the following virus.

TrojWare.Win32.Agent.ASSP@311088972

What’s happening? Isn’t this is a normal program bundled with ASUS or has the file itself been infected and replaced?

That seems like to be a False Positive (=FP).

Disable Comodo Antivirus, then restore the file from quarantine, once you located it upload it to virustotal https://www.virustotal.com/ and post the link of the file scan here.

Hi DefinitelySky,

Please submit the file as false-positive at Comodo Antivirus Database | Submit Files for Malware Analysis .

Thanks and regards,

spywar. Wow cool site

Ionel: I reported it through Comodo and did it through the link you provided. Hope that will be sufficient.

Hi DefinitelySky,

Thank you for reporting this.
We’ll check it and get back to you soon.

Usually only one way is enough. With the VT link you have given, Comodo can easily locate the file in their database in order to apply a fix. So only one way is ok. Thank you.

Hi DefinitelySky,

This is to inform you that false-positive has been fixed.
You can update to AV database Version <17475> of Comodo Internet Security
Version <6.3.302093.2976> and confirm it.
