I get this even when I allow everything for C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe, with the options: Skip parent check, Allow all activities for this application, Allow invisible connection attempts and Skip advanced security checks.
I instantly can surf the web with firefox once I disable the Application Monitor.
have you checked the application monitor? see if there’s something you’ve accidentally blocked. and maybe you need to reboot your computer after that.
hope it helps.
All the application Control Rulse are set to Allow, and on top of that, I deleted all firefox related rules, and set it to… well see the first post.
Anyway, reboot? Ya, I had this happen before, and yes a reboot would probably fix this problem. But I’d rather uninstall the program and not have to reboot. SO I was wondering what is the cause of this.
is it so hard rebooting computer?
i’m not a techie, but i think several setup need “computer restart” to get it done.
i’d accidentally blocked firefox before and even after i allow it back,i still can’t browse the internet until i reboot it.
I think you mistook reboot as in restore your computer and erase everything? What Ganda means by reboot is to restart the computer just shut down then log back on

I’ve had CFP installed for a few months, it’s definitely not setup.

…are you kidding me? how would a reboot equal to reinstall?
FirefoxPreloader.exe is an application which is independent of the browser. You may need to add it to the Application Monitor manually. Details: Firefox Preloader download | SourceForge.net
