This happened with me also while scanning .chk files. Till the time I pressed don’t send error report, the CIS continued with its scanning, though it could not ‘finish off’ giving ‘results’.

Also, when don’t sent error report was pressed, the CIS scanning window closed, but CIS did not go from tray icon and CIS antivirus also, it seemed to be active, as I could still initialize scanning the USB without rebooting, though every time after scanning for sometime, CIS antivirus would crash. Checked again after rebooting to check it was an ‘one off’ situation, but the crash re-surfaced again and hence seems to be a bug.
