Antispyware

I’ve looked all over the Comodo website and the forums, but I don’t see a definitive answer to these questions anywhere:

Does the current version of CIS provide protection against spyware, or do I need to use an additional app for this?

Comodo apparently created an antispyware app several years ago, but it appears that it is no longer being updated or supported. Is there a current Comodo antispyware app?

If I need a third-party antispyware app, what works best in combination with CIS?

It’s able to detect all types of malicious files (e.g. viruses, trojans, adware, worms, spyware, rootkits, etc.)

Version 3.9 has Comodo’s anti spyware BOClean integrated in the AV part. There are no more updates for BOClean since May 26.

WIth CIS you are protected against it all. I know Windows Defender can run along with CIS. I cannot tell from own experience what others would work. I do use Spybot, A2 Free and Malwarebytes Antimalware as on demand anti spwyare scanners.

Thanks, guys. That’s good to know. Comodo should make this clear on their website wherever CIS, Comodo Antivirus, and Comodo Firewall are discussed. The way it is now, you’d never know from looking at the websites that installing CIS protects you against anything other than internet-based intrusion attempts and viruses.
