Hello, reinstalled 2.3 stable but same problem as beta : can’t disconnect.

With outpost firewall and Jetico all works fine but i want comodo!!!

Pleasa help.

Thanks

Hi,( trying to understand the problem better) you’re saying that you can’t disconnect through the control panel>network connections?

Yes, or right click->disconnect in tray bar connection icon.
Then if i try to reconnect don’t works, i need to restart windows.

Thanks

When you set CPF to allow all, can you reconnect?

Try to exit comodo and then reconnect but connection don’t work, only reboot.

Please help.

Ciao

This means, CPF is not blocking anything. You can try to see if disabling Security->Advanced->Application Behavior Analysis->Monitor DNS Queries solves but when you close CPF, none of these should have an effect.

Do you see ay error messages while you try to reconnect? What is your ADSL modem? Is it USB or A gateway?

CPF is blocking something, with others firewall all works fine.
No messagges showed, i use a speedtouch 330 usb adsl modem.
I want to try to exit comodo before close adsl connection , i let you know.

Ciao

I did 2 tests:

  1. exit CPF > start ADSL connection > start firefox > surf the web > close firefox > close ADSL connection >>>> connection shutdown without problem

  2. open CPF > start ADSL connection > start firefox > surf the web > close firefox > close CPF > close ADSL connection >>>> connection freeze and cannot be resumed, i need to reboot windows.

Plase help.

What is your configuration? Specifically

  • Security->Advanced->Application Behavior Analysis->Monitor DNS Queries
  • Security->Advanced->Advanced Attack Detection & Prevention-> Misc->Block all outgoing connections while booting/
  • Security->Advanced->Advanced Attack Detection & Prevention->Monitor other NDIS protocols than TCP/IP

Also, do your logs and rules include anything about svchost.exe?

When you close network monitor or application monitor but not both at the same time, does it work?

Thx,
Egemen

Can you please try disabling, restart and retest:

  • Security->Advanced->Application Behavior Analysis->Monitor DNS Queries PINNED
  • Security->Advanced->Advanced Attack Detection & Prevention-> Misc->Block all outgoing connections while booting/ PINNED

Thx,
Egemen

I tried to uncheck as suggested but nothing to do, connection is always blocked.
Before test i installed latest CPF update.

Please help i’m very (:AGY)

Cheers

Do this.
“Security” - “Network Monitor” and create a rule +Add
General

Action: Allow
Protocol: UDP
Direction: In

Source IP: Zone [Select your ADSL modem here]
Destination IP: Zone [Select your ADSL modem here]
Sorce Port: Any
Destination Port: Any

Your ADSL modem needs to allow a UDP-Incoming: upnp-mcast(1900).

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
rki.

Thanks.
I will try.
