Alerts are down in CIS 6

Hello
I don’t know if it is the right place to ask this question, but I have a problem with Comodo’s alerts.
Comodo does not send me any alert if something is happening and I realized that when I wanted to disable Defense+. In the home from the CIS user interface, I clicked on “Real Time protection: Active” and I tried to disable defense+ from there. Normally there is a notification that asks you about how long you want that component off. However, it appears and disappears in a very short time, too fast for me to click. I created an Eicar test file using the Eicar probe and text editor. The file I create does not get deleted and nothing really happens except that I cannot open the file (the only good thing in here). In the setting I checked do not alert me about “Quarantine files”, and so, when I created the eicar file, it gets deleted with no notification. I looked in all the settings and changed configurations with no use. I reinstalled Comodo, and it worked fine for a while, and then it started doing it again.
Note: I am not talking only about the firewall alerts, all the alerts and notifications are not displayed anymore. It auto-sandboxes stuff without telling me that it did it and it also stops asking me to take decisions and just freezes any application like if the alert was hidden!

Thank you in advance!

Can you please let me know which operating system you are using?

Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, Comodo Internet Security 6.0

I do know that there have been a few bugs reported for Windows 8 in which alerts appear on the screen for only a few seconds. Is this part of what you are seeing?

In terms of the Antivirus can you please post a screenshots of your “Real Time Scan Settings” for the antivirus.

Thanks.

That’s using proactive configuration, with some modification.

It should be quaranteening the files correctly. Please try reinstalling by following the advice I give on this page and let me know if the problems continue.

Thanks.

Thank you for your great help. I will do my best to follow the steps you gave me and I will let you know if there is anything new!

Again, Thank you

I too am having the same issue with alerts showing up for a split second. I am also using Windows 8 Pro, Media center, and Comodo Internet Security 6.0 . 64-bit if it matters

It’s a bug which has been reported. Hopefully it will be fixed with the first update of v6 that is schedule for this month.
