Hi
I have always been annoyed with Comodo’s LACK of options for whitelisting programs & processes.
I hate having to jump through 20 hoops just to whitelist a program or process when it could be done with the push of a button.
Also, I HATE the way that the firewall just decides to block things without permission, warning OR EVEN NOTICE !!!
NO - I have to go clicking on intrusions etc. and looking at pages of logs only to find another set of hoops to jump through - often with no resolution at all. (I had problems with Onedrive about a year ago & eventually just gave up & abandoned it!) Google Drive works fine luckily.
So… 320 network intrusions and counting - all of which were allowed before.
Yes, my ftp client Tixati is and has been added as a ftp client.
It is also blocking some windows host processes now.
I turned off firewall & turned it back on, right clicked on a log entry and added an allowed action to the advanced filter which has enabled me to download, but the network intrusions keep stacking up.
I have also put it in training mode now.
SO HOW THE HELL DOES ONE TELL THE FIREWALL THAT A PROGRAM / PROCESS IS SAFE ?
And yes - I do know how to click the stupid little arrow at the bottom of the log to add rulesets etc.
I have jumped through a load of the stupid and unnecessary hoops to no avail.
WHY, OH WHY IS IT SUCH A DIFFICULT THING FOR YOU TO MAKE A USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE ?
I am NOT a novice PC user from anyone’s point of view, so I shudder to think of the problems that other people have.
“RIGHT CLICK”, “ALLOWED APPLICATION”, “OK”.
Why is it not this simple ?
I run win7 home premium 64 on a toshiba satellite u840w-107 with 6gb ram, 128gb ssd & 32gb msata.
