After the update I still have the old version number in the configuration panel.

I have the COMODO Firewall installed on my computer. Today I have updated the program, and now the version is 10.0.1.6258 (was - 10.0.1.6209).

After that I opened the “Configuration” panel in the settings, and it shows this:

I have a few questions:

1) Why is the “Firewall Security” version still 10.0.1.6209? (I already rebooted computer twice after the update.)

2) Are these old versions redundant and they can safely be deleted?

3) Does this info mean that I also have the “Proactive Security” and the “Internet Security” fully installed on my computer?

4) If I choose to activate the “Proactive Security” and the “Internet Security”, what benefits would they add to my protection?
(I already have the Firewall with the HIPS running.)

These are the older configs from the previous version and you can safely delete them if you want unless you want to keep your old settings that you where using. Proactive config is the most secure config out of the three and I would recommend switching to proactive to use as a base config to start customizing from.

Thank you for the explanation.

I have a lot of questions now.

If it is not too much trouble, could you please give me a link where I can read about it in detail?

For the difference between each preset config you can read the online help here: https://help.comodo.com/topic-72-1-766-9158-Comodo-Preset-Configurations.html

Thanks for the link, Futuretech. I’ll read that.
