Acrobat's parent path is explorer.exe, why?

Dear all:

I installed a Comodo today on my xp s2. Comodo reports acrobat, dreamweaver and even other products try to connect internet, parent path is c:\windows\explorer.exe.

I think these software is not the network software. They are not supposed to do that. Why they still try to connect internet? or why they have any relation with c:\windows\explorer.exe?

Sane William

Most apps have an automatically update feature and connect to intenet to check for updates.

explorer.exe IS the windows desktop. When you double click an icon on your desktop, you’re actually telling explorer.exe to start the application, therefore, it is the parent.
