Acrobat 7.0 Professional fails with Defense+ running

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional fails with the following message:
“Adobe Activation
An error has been detected and the application cannot continue. Please reinstall the application”
Reinstalling the application does not help and the uninstall / install process gives the same message.
Had to disable Defense+ to get a job done.
Probably a problem in Acrobat 7.0 accessing its activation information via a method that Defense+ dislikes.

I Found a similar problem, on Acrobat failiing without a message after 10 seconds, dated August 27, 2009, solved by TechMan3031 but it was for Acrobat 8.0

The solution is very similar: Open Comodo; Open Defense+; Open Computer Security Policy;
find the policy for C:.…\Adobelmsvc.exe and change it from custom policy, or whatever, to Trusted Application.

Before this change it would fail after at most roughly 2 minutes; Acrobat 7.0 Pro has now been running about 5-6 minutes without a problem.
