A question regarding comodo [RESOLVED]

Hello, i currently have a computer that is running Windows XP sp2 with clamwin antivirus and comodo firewall v3.0.25.378. Today i performed a full computer scan and that`s what i got:

C:\Program Files\COMODO\Firewall\s1.tmp: Adware.Mysearch-1 FOUND

----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 303792
Engine version: 0.93
Scanned directories: 1498
Scanned files: 10529
Infected files: 1
Data scanned: 1497.65 MB
Time: 891.656 sec (14 m 51 s)
I wanna know if this is just a false alarm or is it true. I noticed at the installation that you can choose some toolbars that can offer you even more protection. Are they really safe or not because i hear a lot of people saying they contain viruses and spyware and other things that can damage your computer.

Thanks in advance! (L) (M)

Hi compyzus,

Dont worry it is a false positive on the part of clamwin. Most AV companies have been made aware of this and no longer flag it as adware. Its just the type of application it is that is why it is getting flaged.

Cheers,
Matty

ps Could you let clamwin know if possible. :-TU
