A prob with no solution

CAV gives a lot FP’s with Heur enabled, mostly Heur.Suspicious, so I had disabled Heur. Now the prob is that Cloud also gives Heur.Suspicious & there is no way to disable Heur in Realtime Cloud Scan. I had thought Cloud only detects known malwares & not Heur ones.

Attached is the screenshot. Today when I tried Nokia Software Updater it was not opening then I checked & found a related file in the Quarantine. Other user on this system may have tried to open Nokia Software Updater & it got Quarantined. (Automatically Quarantine is selected coz of other Average Users).

Whats going on with CAV. This is the 3rd time this software is detected with Heur. 2 times I have submitted this. I checked the AV FP Thread & found that many FP’s which were solved are detected again after sometime with further updates. CAV needs a major improvement.

But my prob remains. Now how can I disable Heur in Realtime Cloud AV???

have you tried to press ignore? and have you send it as FP?

I will make a copy in the malware forums so that they fix it faster :slight_smile:

I know to ignore & submitting detections. But the prob is I keep Heur disabled coz of the other Average Users on this system & also coz it gives a lot of FP’s which I dont like. And there is no way to disable Heur in Realtime Cloud Scan. The only option is to switch to other good AV like Avast, etc.

this so called fp is sometimes not a FP. I recommend you to wait. Many in Avast forum says that Avast gives but it turns out to be a malware. I know that avast is more accurate compared to CAV.

Edit - I think there should be an option for cloud scan in realtime scanner like enable cloud scan, enable heur in cloud. Otherwise whats the use of that setting for heur in realtime scanner. Even if you disable it you get heur FP’s from cloud scan.
