Well not quite an education… more like educated for free. The Open University have released some of their on-line educational units for free download. You don’t get any certificates or anything. But, you can still do the courses. I think you need to register to get access to everything (including their forums). They call it OpenLearn.
They also have this idea called LearningSpace that has LabSpaces (I’m sensing a theme here), this is from their web site…
Visit the LabSpace to share and reuse educational resources. Download some learning materials, adapt to your needs: translate, shorten, extend, add examples... and then of course, place it back for others to benefit!
