The White House contact web page (Write or Call the White House | The White House) does not work with Chromium Secure (version 36.1.1.3). After selecting Submit, an error page is produced (Bad Request - Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand). Elements of the CNET Downloads website (Apps for Windows - CNET Download), such as the Narrow Results and Sort functions, often fail to work. Both sites work with Ice Dragon, but overall, I would prefer to use Chromium Secure.
Hi cloudsandskye,
Try adding ‘download.cnet.com’ to PrivDogs exceptions list.
PrivDog-Comodo Help
In regards to the submit errors, I suspect the following setting is interfering.
Try disabling 'Do not allow websites to know where you came from (suppress HTTP referrer header)', found under privacy in the advanced settings.
Kind regards.
Thank you for your response. The first suggestion about cnet.com did not work, but the second suggestion about The White House contact page did work.
for the cnet.com
Try opening the site in incognito(Ctrl+Shift+N) and tell us if it works!
If it works that means an extension is interfering!
Thank you for the tip. I tried the CNET Downloads website using incognito and the website worked. I have three extensions enabled: Comodo Media Downloader, Comodo Web Inspector, and PrivDog. All three have a selection to allow incognito, so I enabled each one at a time. When each of the first two was enabled, the CNET Downloads website worked, but when PrivDog was enabled, the website did not work, so it appears that PrivDog may be the culprit. I tried disabling each of the threats and preferences in PrivDog one at a time and all at the same time, yet the website would not work. So, at this point, it looks like using the incognito mode with that website is a solution.
