[44.0.0.11] Installation Bug [RESOLVED]

Hi

Not a major bug but affected me for a while :embarassed:. Whilst trying to install IceDragon (for the first time), installation was reporting that I was already running IceDragon and wouldn’t continue.

Hi Graham1,
This is not a bug.
Renaming installers to the same as the programs main process can result in this issue, because the installer thinks the program is installed and running once the installer is executed.

Kind regards.
Edit: Reworded.

Fair enough. That’ll teach me for renaming installers :-[. Guess I got unlucky with IceDragon (I’m sure Dragon was fine though).

Hi Graham1,
It has happened to Dragon in the past, but this may have changed in recent versions.
Error Message “Application is running. Please close Comodo Dragon and try again”
I haven’t tested this with the more recent versions.

Kind regards.
