Running a Turion x64 cpu on a XP MCE OS. Should the 32bit release work or do I need the 64bit release when it comes out?
pretty sure it’s the OS that determines the compatibility.
Myself I am running my AMD 3200+ 64 bit proc on Win XP Pro 32-bit; and have no CFP issues.
This may qualify as a compatibility issue then. When I have the firewall isntalled, I get a BSoD error on shutdown stating Unhandled Exception. I don’t get the error when I remove the firewall. The BSoD fires off and in a flash reboots the machine. I set it to not reboot on BSoD, but it continues to do so. The machine is an Alienware m9700. The machine is a brand new image so installed software should not matter and pretty much nothing is currently installed.

Could there be a comaptibility issue with the CPU Data Execution Protection component? I had it enabled when I had it installed.
Hello,
The AMD 64 bit processors are compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit Operating Systems, since you are running a 32 bit OS there should be no compatibility issues.

Well, I’ve never tried running CFP under WinXP MCE… that could be one difference… unless AMD did something different with their mobile CPU, but i can’t see that.
You’ve installed the AMD drivers right?
Windows XP MCE is based on Windows XP Pro, so it is compatible with Windows XP MCE, I personally have owned a PC with an AMD Turion 64 bit processor in the past and it worked fine with Comodo.
There should be no compatibility issues.
Could there be a comaptibility issue with the CPU Data Execution Protection component? I had it enabled when I had it installed. You could always opt-out and give it try. I'm running an AMD Athlon 3200 64-bit processor with XP Home 32-bit with no problems also. I only have DEP set to protect windows services and programs though. I haven't tried the all programs settings yet. Do you have any error logs in your event viewer?
