2. Suspicious site to which the suspicious ad linked:

3. Explanation of why I believe the ad to be suspicious:
This feels suspiciously like it’s phishing for email addresses. Some of the comments in WOT seem to support that concern. Thus, I think it’s worth looking into.

Also, I would like to note that there are many other ads which point to this particular domain. Thus, if the site is in fact dangerous please re-evaluate all ads which point to www.qualityhealth.com.

I found first case. So i will discuss it tomorrow.

As a precaution we have paused all ads from both advertisers while we investigate further.

Thanks for your feedback, very much appreciated.

Any update on these three ads? As far as I can tell they are still being delivered. :-\

Also, what is going on lately? :embarassed: Are these ads even being vetted, or has it become all about money? Only future actions will be able to convince me whether the true goal of adtrustmedia has changed to something darker, or whether this is just stumbling along the same noble path. Please take all actions to ensure that I am convinced it is the latter.

Thank you.

Hi Chiron, sorry for waiting. I’ve asked respective person to check your reports more carefully. So we can just wait for their decision.

BTW, i don’t think WOT should be 100% sign of bad ads.

Thank you, although I think this particular topic is important enough to be checked at least once every other day.

For me it’s not. The sites these ads linked to seemed off to me as well. I just mentioned the WOT comments as well because they corroborated my unease. If after investigation they are found to be fine I am okay with that. However, I think all ads mentioned in this topic do need to be re-reviewed by staff.

Thank you.

  2. Suspicious site to which the suspicious ad linked:
    w*w.bongacams.com

  3. Explanation of why I believe the ad to be suspicious:
description of site, lifted from the ad: “Now pick a girl and join the cam to cam sex. The best Live chat with private women or boys in cam sex LiveCam. Join for FREE.” This appears on Google after I entered the search term “Institute of Design and Construction” so I don’t see why I am being subjected to this, plus it is obviously shady, and who in their right mind advertises sex chat with “boys”? I would hope that is just another word for “adult men.”

  4. Screenshot of Ad:
It looks just like a standard Google ad; just text. I can close it, revealing the actual Google Ads.

And this leads me to my main beef: I clearly have my PrivDog settings set to do not allow AdTrustMedia Ads, but they are shown anyway, so why lead the user to believe they have control over something they do not? I tried to contact PrivDog directly, via info[at]privdog.com, but the e-mail was undeliverable.
