CIDs classic FF aesthetic and ability to keep older add-ons is what has kept me a user for a good long time now...but this last update (which I typically avoid because out of fear of precisely this type of shenanigan) did the following to me:
- installed Comodo Internet Security unprompted and with no ability to cancel or opt out (suddenly a pop-up telling me that Comodo was incompatible with my Kaspersky IS and my only options were to uninstall my KIS or to "skip" and install CIS alongside KIS)
- Most of my configurations re privacy, updating, and search were altered - and not for the better.
- My add-ons (Lastpass, DownThemAll, HTTPsEverywhere, et al) we're all now disabled without so much as a warning.
Opted to uninstall ALL Comodo products, clean up, and reinstall older iteration while I go look for an alternative to CID. The new version is just ugly, imo. Same hideous blocky look as FF and Chrome.
Not a fan of the update at all.
