options in the tools drop down to flash block, pic block, java block and others too
with options to re enable in web page like flash button where flash video should be so only that box is enabled others on web page stay blocked
this will stop all them annoying flash adds that also carry viruses  :-TU

My idea is that Comodo Implements their own sync servers for both Dragon and Ice Dragon. Convenient, more secure than google, and more private than google! Also please update to firefox 57, Firefox Quantum, as soon as possible! it's a HUGE improvement over the current firefox model.

CIDs classic FF aesthetic and ability to keep older add-ons is what has kept me a user for a good long time now...but this last update (which I typically avoid because out of fear of precisely this type of shenanigan) did the following to me:

- installed Comodo Internet Security unprompted and with no ability to cancel or opt out (suddenly a pop-up telling me that Comodo was incompatible with my Kaspersky IS and my only options were to uninstall my KIS or to "skip" and install CIS alongside KIS)

- Most of my configurations re privacy, updating, and search were altered - and not for the better.

- My add-ons (Lastpass, DownThemAll, HTTPsEverywhere, et al) we're all now disabled without so much as a warning.

Opted to uninstall ALL Comodo products, clean up, and reinstall older iteration while I go look for an alternative to CID. The new version is just ugly, imo. Same hideous blocky look as FF and Chrome.

Not a fan of the update at all.
Do not take seriously, literally, or with MAO inhibitors.

You can use Firefox ESR 52.x, which gets its last update 2018-06-26. The next Firefox ESR will be based upon Firefox 60.

I do not know if CID has been canceled, whether it is safe or not. If COMODO has not canceled this awesome browser, please update it.

I 2nd that opinion. It seems the last update was from June 2019. The video downloader didn't work the last time I tried it on utube. Who wants to use a browser that old and apparently has support in limbo. Someone suggested to mirror the Firefox ESR schedule for updates. Something needs to be done and I hope Comodo comes out of their apparent difficulties.

 !ot!
Regarding their becoming more mainstream and profitable, Comodo appeals mainly to users who are more tech savvy than average. If they can find a way to release a product that is essentially as silent as Windows Defender or Avast, etc., while being as customizable and powerful as we are used to now (for those that are interested in that), they would be in a position to reach the masses. But because of Melih's philosophy on how to build a top notch security solution (containment, HIPS, default deny), I don't know if this is feasible. I'm not saying his way is not great, just that it creates issues for those that want a setup that doesn't require them to make many decisions responding to popups. But the current way is fine and maybe Melih was never intending to go mainstream.
