Secure DNS Outages
« on: May 24, 2013, 03:58:32 AM »
Hi,

i do like the free comodo offers very much, so first of all big thanks.

I'm not so happy though with Secure DNS, because i experience frequent outages of the service - like for instance today, when Secure DNS wasn't working once again.

As soon as i changed the DNS in my router to Google, i was able to browse the web again.

This happened quite often in the past.

Can you please explain why these outages occur, and what Comodo will do to make the service more reliable to use?

Like for instance constant monitoring of DNS servers?

Thank you in advance

C.

It's a pity that Comodo DNS does not provide a Service status page!

Like many others do.

I know that is says that Comodo dns is 99.999% uptime SLA and that is has 14 locations, but there is no status to tell you about any Outages.

Info of the 99.999% uptime SLA and 14 locations are found here > http://www.dns.com/network/

But as you see with that site, that is business and others Corps.

But Comodo DNS runs from the same areas. But no info to tell us the status :)

P.S. There is a Twitter page here > https://twitter.com/DNScom  < that tells you status, But latest info shown no DNS problems.

Edit: Updated info I put + added extra info.
