Comodo DNS server blocks Wikipedia?

I’m using Comodo Firewall 7.0.317799.4142. For the last several days, the Comodo DNS server has been blocking the English-language Wikipedia site (en.Wikipedia.org), saying it “can’t be found”. I’ve now changed my wireless adapter’s setting to “Obtain DNS addresses automatically”, and I have no trouble getting through to WP.

Is this a known issue? Let me know if I can post any other details.

Yes, me too!

Some action on this would be excellent.

I’m having the same issue. “Sorry, “fr.wikipedia.org” does not exist or could not be found”

en.wikipedia.org works, but all other languages have the same problem. I use Wikipedia for work as some kind of consultant, I really need this.

As a side note, is it possible to define individual safe sites on our own in the application’s settings, or is it useless for me to keep searching?

This is not technically a bug in the software of CIS, but in the infrastructure. I’m not saying it’s not an issue, it defintely is. I am just saying that this is not the best area for reporting this. I have moved this to the Secure DNS section of the forum. Hopefully that will be able to get this the best attention.

In addition, it’s probably worthwhile for anyone experiencing this to submit a ticket through this site.

Thank you.

I personally no longer have this issue, thanks, Comodo.

That’s good to hear. Is anyone else still experiencing this?
