Options screen run quite slow. It seem that the information was loaded from server? It should load from ini file for faster loading.

This would restrict your settings to the local machine the INI file was on. If it is stored on a central server, your settings follow you, regardless of where you log in from.

Yes, it makes it slower, but yes, it's for a reason.

It is possible to make the options menu load faster right? I don't know maybe get it from the server but at start up for example, it will store it into an INI file. Then the options screen can load the data from INI?

Hey I am just wondering, does anybody here know when the next release of Easy VPN will be released? I'd love to test it out and give suggestions.

But that puts you at the mercy of the security settings of whatever PC you're using at the time, with respect to whether thast PC can create new files (internet cafe, corporste PC etc.) and whether your personal setting are removed from that PC correctly at the end of the session.

I can see your point and also would like it to open quicker, just not at the sake of security.

Cheers,
Ewen :-)

P.S> No ETA on the next version, but the EasyVPN team are reasonably regular at updating.

You know, that's intresting. I never thought of it that way. Yes, that's true. We wouldn't want to reduce our security just for it to open faster.

Well, we could always hide the file and encrypt the data couldn't we? Otherwise, we can just get the data to be sent faster. I mean, isn't it just some information, it shouldn't take that long to send, should it? What exactly is the problem? Hamachi is very similar and I don't think they have this problem. What's the difference between Hamachi and EasyVPN's method of exchange of information?

Not on a system that won't allow you to create files. ;) The only real way to ensure complete and competent delivery is to store the information centrally and distribute to memory as and when needed.

Hi

I am new in this forum.
My wish for Comodo EasyVPN is: It uses a port other than MSN port. Because I live in Iran and government closes some famous ports like MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and Gtalk. :-[
If it is possible to use unwell known port it make us happy and we can use it better.
Also is it possible that user set port himself (/herself).
Another wish is that Comodo run as a service and Automatilcally login so it will become perfect for managing unattended servers. (like Teamviewer).

Thanks
Meysam

To be honest, its frustrating to need multiple accounts to run EasyVPN on multiple machines. I used to use hamachi to access my pc's remotely, but I'm not found of their latest version. Having separate accounts for each machine is a headache. I have clients that I would love to install EasyVPN with, and would even be willing to pay for the licenses, but there is no clear indication that this would change with the business licenses (there appears to be no difference between the paid and free version besides commercial use).

I would like to see :
                        1) digitally signed drivers
                        2) basic admin abilities ( to remove/kick or ban members or guests)
                        3) away to report to COMODO of users abusing in  network  as a way to create a blacklist
                        4) also a detailed listing of subscription pricing a features

resize remotescreen to window size (for less scrolling)
optional remove remote desktop background picture (for more grafical perfomance)
better graphics ... some times the screen gets grey parts which apear again if i move a window over them or so

realVNC has better graphic!
and they use a cool menu on the top of fullscreen

COMODO should make a poping up menu at the right screen side with an arrow to the right
if i click on it the remote screen slides or pop in
on the remote screen the same menu should be on the right side
if i click on it the remote desktop should fade or pop out to the right side again

like
|my screen|<
>|RemoteScreen|

i hope you get that illustration :))

but also keep in mind people as for example me also have custom windows toolbars at the screen borders which pop in or out
i have one at the top (but no problem with real v n c for example)

it should be possible to share folers directly with peoples in the list
the permission should be based on per user
like MS shared folders but as a part of comodo vpn
so i can share folders for a network or for a special user

i and my friend would use that to move documents or to share each ones pc like a external hard disk

this leads me to a other application request which i would like to see from comodo
maybe this can get integrated into this vpn thing

clusteing
i would like to make a monster PC with windows XP
and not with linux or unix or such a OS
i would like to move a process through vpn from my PC to a remote PC
i know its not so simple but it would be like the pyramids in egypt if you can do this :))
if i can move MS calc to a other processor in my network wile the interface keeps on my PC i would be happy
the remote pc should see this calc process as comodo-remoted-process
that would be awesome :D
