p.s. also i want to know

under utilities - system settings - there are system control, windows explorer, web browser, etc and there are restore default settings for each. what type of restore default settings are these. i mean for ex. - when i install csc, in system control 2 entries are checked but when i click restore to defaults 1 more entry gets checked. so does this means when installed csc detects the systems settings (like 2 entries checked in system control) and if we want we can apply csc’s default for system control clicking restore defaults (like i said 1 more entry gets checked clicking on restore defaults, total 3 entries) m i right?? please clear the point.

I ran across this while searching for a solution for .35 CSC. I get the exact same Runtime error message in .35, except that I never get to the Finish Screen. My error occurs in the middle of the download. I am running Windows XP SP3 32-bit, Windows Firewall and AVG Free 8.5. This is a fresh install of the OS. I added CSC.exe, cnat.exe, crpf.sys and csdf.sys to the firewall exceptions list, but still the same error. I also use CRC, but have not tried to update it to see if it gets the same error.

I can work around it by downloading an updated file and reinstalling, but it would be nice if the update function worked.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. We identified the cause for the registration info request. This issue will be resolved in the upcoming version of Comodo System Cleaner.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

We tried very hard to reproduce this bug, and finally in some rare occasions it occurred. We will eliminate this problem in the upcoming version of Comodo System Cleaner. In the meantime, an uninstall of the current version and the installation of the .36 version downloaded from the release thread will get you to the latest version.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

After installation, Comodo System Cleaner detects the operating system settings and configures itself accordingly. The default options of System Settings contain 1 more option checked ( “Optimize processor scheduling for applications” ) which is an optional selection like any other one from that menu giving you the choice to select or unselect it. So that third entry checked is stored in Comodo System Cleaner instructions in case of selecting “Restore to defaults” button, and once checked it stays that way.

Thank you for your support.

I’m using COMODO System Cleaner 1.1.64944.36 64bit version (updated from 1.1.64944.34)

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

“Check for updates” crashes sometimes.

Vista gives a message that “Program has stopped working”

ok i got it. BUT i want to re-confirm it. so what i understand form what you said is - you mean to say “RESTORE TO DEFAULT IS THE DEFAULT SETTINGS OF COMODO SYSTEM CLEANER AND NOT THE OPERATING SYSTEMS DEFAULT SETTINGS” right buddy??

ok

i will elaborate it little further -

i mean to say “CLICKING ON RESET TO DEFAULT WILL NOT APPLY THE OPERATING SYSTEMS DEFAULT SETTINGS BUT WILL APPLY COMODO SYSTEM CLEANERS’S OWN DEFAULT SETTINGS” right buddy??

Hi,

Of course I read that you did a fresh install and the problem still persisted, but you were not the only person complaining about the update error, and my advice for uninstall previous version/install .36 one concerned everyone who encountered this problem. In some cases it works, in others it doesn’t, depending on the operating system. Anyway the problem has already been taken care of and fixed in the upcoming version.

Regarding your question about Comodo System Settings module and the System tab, where the “reset to defaults” checks one more option if selected: it was taken into consideration and will be synchronized in order to have a fixed set of options on default after CSC installation, meaning the “Reset to defaults” button will be grayed out and will become available after a modification has been made.

Thank you for your support.

nice realease with the CLPCS (comodo live PC support) but one little type-o on the interface.
