I don't know if it was previously added or not but I would like to submit "Window Washer" because lately I have been getting those virus warnings... I normally had never gotten those but it seems that they have been showing up more and more. I have continually added them to my list of "my personal whatever" but they keep on asking me. So instead of raising a fit about them, I just continually succumb to their nuisance. :-)

Thanks

Plus, it greatly helps my learning to overcome my problem of impatience.

eXPerience...maybe you got a firewall alert for Utorrent.  I noticed that the safe list only applies for D+ (I think).
Safe list applies also for FW:
Quote
Safe Mode: While filtering network traffic, the firewall will automatically create rules that allow all traffic for the components of applications certified as 'Safe' by Comodo.
I don't use µTorrent, but I'm sure the alert was for an incoming connection. That is what I get for Skype and Spotify (both are signed) with firewall set to Safe Mode.

We discuss an 'annoyance' with Defense+ blocking SynTPHelper.exe
This stops the TouchPad from working, so, can't click Allow   88)

Would be helpful if this had trusted status   :)

Isn't it better to use the submit function in CIS? :-La

1: Add the program files to My Pending Files (they will be added automatically in Clean PC Mode). If they cannot be added to the list, they are already in the Comodo certified safe files database.

2: Select the files in the list, click on Look up… to see if it's in Comodo's master safe list database.

3: If the result of the look up is Unknown, CIS will ask the user to submit the files. If the result is Safe, CIS will suggest that the files be moved to My Safe Files.

I suppose Comodo will trace the version update of those applications if they are made trusted in this way.

Blizzard, in particular World of Warcraft. I still have to go into training mode to apply the new patches. Steam and Valve would also be nice. These are heavily used games and there's no reason for them not to be in the safe list.

hello,

I just joined the Comodo forum...

Which applications should be trusted ?
Are browsers like Firefox, email-clients like Thunderbird, office programs like Open Office really trusted applications ? - the programs themselves may be trustful, but isn`t it possible for malware to abuse these programs for their purpose ?

Best wishes

Pete

There's really no use to include Thunderbird since it doesn't work in the first place. I tried it and imported my settings from Outlook Express. I was only able to receive mail on one account and no matter what I did, I could not send mail with any account. I tried every suggested fix on their forums and none worked. I haven't liked any open source program I've ever tried, including anything from Mozilla.
