As CIS detected a new version : Where are the downloads for the new v11.0.0.6744 HOTFIX release ?
Why doesn't it have a different release-number ? Now it's confusing
BTW: I redownloaded v11.0.0.6744 Offline : it's exactly the same as the original release

This update applies only to this case: https://forums.comodo.com/defense-sandbox-help-cis/problem-with-defense-browser-t123775.0.html

Nevertheless, an update is detected by CIS, ready to be installed, but there is no equivalent download nor specific (hotfix-)release-number.

There is no hotfix for 6744. There is an RC build (6778) to try in the beta corner.

Did you just install 6744?

Thank you. I missed that because I am currently running the RC.

Let it update, rebooted, nothing would open. Not totally unresponsive, so rebooted and it's now OK.
Got me worried for a while!

Just updated my **** computer, it is just a small update 2 files cmagent and one other you need to check the logs before the update window shuts.

It took a while to start on reboot, but did eventually.

The hotfix can be downloaded via autoupdate.

That's the point:  Only via autoupdate what I don't want.

Comodo is already better than Kaspersky  :azn:  - In my humble opinion

As for the GUI specifically, Comodo I know is working on updating the CIS GUI actually. I would imagine they are wanting to get the CCAV one right first though.

With that said, I still really like the current GUI. I think it's nice and clean.

Though I do think there should be further work on extending the 'Basic View' view and provide a 'Basic View' settings menu also that would essentially be a trimmed down version of the settings with only options that less tech savvy people could reasonably be expected to use.

Such as hiding Rulesets, Group Sets, Portsets, HIPS Groups options, and so on.

We shall fight from our offices, we shall fight from our bedrooms, we shall fight on our local networks and on the internet, we shall fight in that thing called the cloud; we shall never surrender!
