The Comodo web site is very confusing, because there seems to be multiple and differing links to download Comodo Firewall, and it's not clear which are for the latest version and which is for the FREE version. So, I have two questions:
1) Where can I download the latest *FREE* version of *ONLY* Comodo Firewall?
2) And, is there an offline installer available?
Lastly, I'd like to leave some feedback for the good people at Comodo from someone who wants to see Comodo succeed, and from someone who knows a thing or two about the business of technology: the Comodo web site has been confusing in this matter for some time now, and there doesn't seem to be any interest in solving the problem -- perhaps because it's not viewed as a significant or serious problem. The reality, however, is that it is a significant and serious problem, so please allow me to be as clear as possible, because I really think that someone at Comodo needs to hear this message.
The problem is that from the perspective of a prospective customer, this is very off-putting -- it can make one wonder if Comodo has their act together, or whether Comodo is purposefully being deceptive. Now, I'm sure that neither is actually the case, but that is the perception that this confusion is creating. Furthermore, since the name of the game, when it comes to security, is fundamentally trust, and considering that the very purpose of offering a free product is to win that trust from prospective customers, it is absolutely vital that Comodo put their best foot forward. Instead, it's as though Comodo is shooting themselves in the foot, and the absolutely tragic part about it is that this is completely unnecessary and easily avoidable. So please, do yourselves a favor and fix this problem.
Thank you,
