Thx for this update. One question why this improvement can't be found in the setting? :

"Default Settings:
•   Detect Potentially Unwanted Applications is enabled on default settings.

The changelog is impressive. Changing name from Dragon to Chromodo (why not Chlamydia?) really needs to release a new version.
Sure, there is no any bugs those are still valid for last three releases, so it is necessary to change names only.
Poor Comodo....

Several critical bugs fixes. Here are a selected few:

•   CMC server issues.
•   Sandbox cannot detect files from restrcited sites
•   Some https links via chromium are blocked even they are not in block rule.
•   Enabling Enhanced Protection Mode resets Mictosoft Office to Classic theme
And what about these bugs:
LNK-file can execute any program with trusted installer's privileges [M1410]
Interpreters are recognized only by theirs names [M1409]
??!!
In my humble opinion these bugs are most critical but still not fixed.
until v6 most talks were about settings, but since v6 most talks are about bugs...

Yes. They are fixed but not included in this cycle. NExt cycle is mid-march and they will be included.

I will wait for it to be fixed. Until then I won't be installing CIS on any of my pc's.

It is not that significant. CIS will not create ADS on any existing files. So we aren't using it for AV purposes etc. But that being said, we will introduce an option for you guys to disable such tracking so that you will shut it down if you don't like.

From what I gather, CIS will only create ADS on new files. Does that mean that only files obtained from the internet will be modified with the Alternate data stream? Also, are there any circumstances when CIS will remove these streams? What about streams being added to files that are safe? I don't see why safe files are being tracked.

Yes only new files. They can be safe but still source information is required for certain cases.

I found CIS ADS on updated Windows files. Since the addition of ADS changes the original file date, would this affect Windows updates in the future?

Win7 Pro SP1 64 Bit

In this way "CMC server issues" is more critical than bug bypasses all Comodo security levels?  :o Correct me if I'm wrong.

In its current form, YES.  Hopefully not once "fixed", but we haven't been informed yet what the "fix" will change.

Currently it affects executable style files newly introduced to the system, including (but not limited to):

1) Extracts from Archives
2) Copies from external drives & networks
3) New Installations (including Windows Updates - ie MANY, MANY files will be affected over time, as it currently stands, with the developers' timestamps overwritten!)

Glad to see we will have the option to bail on this behavior, but it would be nice to know how the future implementation will affect our systems & what purpose this "feature" actually serves.  That way we can make an informed decision without experimenting on our systems to figure it out.

Why CIS needs such a feature? I did not see a feature like this on other Antiviruses?
COMODO Cloud Antivirus
Firefox Quantum
Encrypt the web! Use HTTPS Everywhere..
Block spying ads and invisible trackers! Use Privacy Badger..

Why do you modify the files directly rather than have a central tracker file that stores all the information about the files? That way you don't have to modify the files themselves.
