Im hoping that the devs pay attention to some wishes requests like the option to trust a file before it gets automaticaly sandboxed by cis and implement such things on this incoming release. Im happy with CIS as an free security suite but sometimes it makes me explode in angryness with some lags and some default options that we can not change (like the automatic sandbox thing). Automatic sandbox a file is a great way to deal with potential dangerous files but sometimes its just for pissing us :P
Sorry about my english.. :P

I hope the AV database is drastically reduced.
Or better optimal local database & full database in cloud.

The kind of product CIS is & kind of security it has, full local databases are not required, smart optimal local database with full database in cloud is enough in my opinion.

full local databases are not required

They are if you are not connected to the Internet.

+1

Also depending on your connection if is slow cloud would be a pain, plus you may not want all that traffic if you on a tight budget.

Cloud AV like Bitdefender Free, Panda Free, etc... are working fine.
And they have small caches for offline protection.

Whereas CIS has autosandbox.
And will also have optimal databases for offline protection.

I think Kaspersky too now uses optimal local databases & full databases in the cloud.
Couple others too I think.

What about those of us, like me, who don't use the cloud?

Or they could have an option of optimal & full local databases.

If I am not wrong, wayyyyyyyyy back Melih had mentioned something like this.

I agree that it is best to let the user decide. I would prefer to not use the cloud. If cloudscanning was the only option I think it should be a different product named Cloudmodo or something. ;)

Well the cloud version if there would be one should be CFW(with some options added) and CIS should remain a true IS platform.

I guess that all these fuzzz about cloud is going to make all of us vulnerable eventualy. If a computer is not conected on the internet the security softwares will just stop working.. This is what I see for a near future... and that makes me sad... Hope that CIS will do a little different. Even if the proposal is to be in cloud, dont stop working of behavior and sandbox.. atleast we will have strong layers for security even with a partial database as local.
Sorry about my english.. :P

Options should be left to the user. This is where comodo is good compared to others. I am not sure about the ADS though. Lets wait and see how the release would be

Also clould scanning would be slower ,(my guess since hash of files would have to be sent to servers in a different location on the internet). But what if you plug in a usb/disc/hdd from a different pc without internet these files could infect you isn't it?.
