I did not see it as a personal attack but as necro posting. Are you referring to your post or Netguy's post?
Next time check dates when replying. After a while a topic or post has run its course.

No problem EricJH, I agree with the fact I would not have to reply to some post that's coming from a too old time.
I was referring to people always complaining as we talk about some new version so it needs a little time before we can judge it with objective reasons.
I get your advice about checking dates as a usefull one, thanks.

[at]megaherz33 well you see cis 7 isn't compatible with w10 prev. You should wait for 8 version (the final version). Maybe then we will have a fully workins cis on w10.

I have installed the CIS 7 and everything worked BSOD appears only in the configuration Proactive.

Configuration Internet Security, there is no problem with the BSOD.

Unless Comodo Staff tells me otherwise I am inclined to believe that v8 will be the version to support Windows 10 rather than v7.

I would personally not assume that v8 final will be fully compatible with Windows 10 because Windows 10 is just in Technical Preview and full release isn't until later 2015, I would assume CIS v8 final will be released before Windows 10 RTM, however that's not to say that it won't work on Windows 10 TP (CIS 8 beta works on Windows 10 TP here, except for a few hiccups here and there) Point is, don't assume that CIS 8 final will be officially compatible with Windows 10 TP, I don't know how Comodo does it but most companies I've observed usually don't fix their products until either Consumer Preview or RTM. (Btw I'm not saying that you are assuming it will be working with it, I know you're not, just wanted to clear that up)
Although seeing as I run Windows 10 TP as my main OS it would be nice if CIS 8 final was fully compatible with it.. =3

When I said v8 I was thinking one of the incarnations of it; 8.x. I didn't necessarily mean the first official release of 8.0.

Well then I'd agree, unless Windows 10 comes out fall(ish) 2015 in which case CIS v9 may be relevant? But CIS v8 might still support the previews up until that point.

I would not be surprised that support may come during the beta testing of Win 10. But in the end we're all making educated guesses.

The installer has been modified and that explains this bug:

https://forums.comodo.com/format-verified-issue-reports-beta-corner-cis/cis-does-not-create-startup-key-or-task-for-cistrayexe-m1204-t107225.0.html;msg778734#new

Comodo has broken startup creation for some computers!

The new package broke the pc. Now CIS  won't start up. lol

The PC won't start up or CIS won't start up?

The package which I download here and from the main website gives me a totally different hash

Comodo Firewall
208MB (218,252,480 bytes)
MD5: 3EC00958ADC9B292CA65958E86BC5AFE
SHA-1: BBF6DF1885FCBEFCB6D8DCEA54FDDA8587E14004

Both the files from both locations gives me that.

This is different from the hash in this thread and as give above by another user.

That's odd. I downloaded the file from the link given in the topic start and it was the same file as in my post of October 5.

Can you confirm you downloaded the installer of CIS and not the one of CAV or CPF? Also can you check the digital signature and see if it is valid? This is to see if the downloaded got corrupted or not.
