You can easily disable that, check screenshot, all you need to do is untick the checkbox.

always good to have updates but, issues as some methods of screeloggers were not fixed
resource hacker can modify files without any warning CIS 6.3

Updates & Upgrades

6.x users can quickly update to the latest version by simply running their automatic updates.

In my VM, Updater always crashes....
I had to run it 10 times to get to 50% so far....
And sometimes it says that everything is up-to-date, which is not true.

The download speed & download errors can be caused by you internet conection eventualy download limit.
Make sure you have the limit open space or unlimited download . Check you contract or ask for details you internet provider

in this case will restart PC and start the download again if noting change the best option will be a clean instalation

I have no problem with my isp and internet connection with them is everyting ok, the problem isn't here.

I'm having problems updating CIS with not just 6.3 update, but for av database to, currently stuck at 16993, have tried re-installs etc... but cant update

yes, here the problem was the av database update, the server is too slow right now...
