One more thing, now that v4 is here I wonder which CIS version is going to be tested at matousec, latest v3 series or the newest v4? If it is v4, I wonder how the results will be interpreted, will they penalize or criticize comodo for "confusing the tests". Or will they praise comodo and say something like "comodo uses virtualization/sandbox technology to prevent these tests and malware from modifying the actual file system and registry which protects the user". Part of me wants them to test v3 just to see how well it would rate with the new tests compared to other products. But I would also like to see the power of v4 sandboxing/virtualization capabilities.

An installer unable to resume previously interrupted download process. No wonder people demand offline installer. Is it ready?

Where can i download the latest full AV database?

A:
As long as Comodo is not providing this on the public website where trying to keep this post up2date.

Q:
Will this link work with my download manager?

A:
Yes. It will work with your download manager because it supports resuming. That makes it suited for people on slow connections.

*** WARNING CIS version 3.12 and lower are no longer updated on the AV database ***

*** WARNING THIS DOWNLOAD IS FOR CIS versions 3.13/3.14/4.x and later ONLY !!! ***

Following link points to latest complete bases.cav always
http://download.comodo.com/av/updates314/sigs/bases/bases.cav

Q:
How do i activate this download?

A:

    * Save the file on your computer
    * Reboot in Safe-Mode
    * Open explorer and go to C:\Program files\comodo\comodo internet security\scanners

                                     OR

Type in following in "Start-->Run" and press Enter key:
%ProgramFiles%/comodo/comodo internet security/scanners

    * Rename existing bases.cav to bases.old and copy downloaded bases.cav
    * Reboot your system in normal mode

Your AV database should be the latest full, and should only need to do an incremental update for the latest updates released after this full.
It's hard being a crooked Admin when the files won't pass an md5checksum test.  But like any other good crooked Admin it can be done, it just takes time(and lots of it) and a few aspirins

Do I have to uninstall v3 before installing v4?
I mean.. do I have to be online without any active protection to download/install this one? NO WAY!
If there isn't any offline installer (to be used UNPLUGGED) I will never use this. Sorry. If this is the way it's going to be, I will be very very sad, but I will leave you.
CIS v5.4 full (disabled SB & cloud)
W7-Ultim-x32-BR + XP-PRO-SP3-x86-BR + Ubuntu LTS x32
SBIE+sbiextra; PeerBlock v1.0+r; GPO/Secpol restricted rules + some more... (just in case)
Zero, Nada, No-one single infecction since 2006.
(REAL Thank's to COMODO! - steps ahead, always)

I was hoping that the installer bug would be fixed. I had to uninstall CIS before I was able to download the installer files. Also, I would like to be able to download the installer for the 64 bit versions for installing on my friend's computers. This option should be available through the little installer. I can only download the installer for my setup (32bit). All options should be available in the choice window.
AMD FX-8320 8 Core 3.50 GHz - 16 GB G.Skill DDR3 RAM - nVidia GT610 Graphics
Win7 Pro SP1 64 Bit
CIS 7.0.317799.4142, CCE 2.5.2421

I haven't been prompted to create a single firewall rule since installing.  Normally, Comodo 3.x would have prompted me to create a dozen or so by now. Is this normal?  Thanks.

I just activated windows firewall and had Immunet/ClamAV in as resident. Really all you need is a firewall for the install right? I didn't see it as that big a deal. :-\

Check your firewall rules. If it's the same as the Beta was then almost all of the programs on your computer are allowed to communicate out without any warning. I always change mine to ProActive so I haven't paid attention to this for a while.
