I tested CCAV for usability for the type of software I & my family use on the shared laptop. I had selected sandbox setting "Run only safe programs". The usability was good. Only 2 software were blocked.
What I didn't liked was when I selected "Dont block again" on the alert & started the blocked programs again, the installs started fine but 1-2 files were still blocked during installs so this could mess the installs of the program.
What I would like or expected to see is that once you click "Dont block again" no further block should be there for the program...will be good if it work this way.

CCAV needs Auto-Sandbox Rules like the ones in CIS along with file source tracking. It's just too noisy without it even with whitelisting.

What is also need is ability to allow installation for some time or some other way to enable easy installation when needed, or maybe just better whitelisting.

CCAV Sandbox was set to Alert for untrusted applications (I like to get notification when something is starting). I know I can set CCAV to sandbox untrusted by default and later go to sandbox and set as trusted but installation still takes a long time due to CCAV checking all files online.

Is there any plan to make the integration between valkyrie and ccav works all togheter?

It seems that its not working proper for now. CCAV never shows any informations about valkyrie signatures/hash of infected files on my vbox machine. It isolate files, malwares and all sort of fhings, but never showed any tips meaning that valkyrie is there, taking place and actions... never.

or is this some kind of bug on ccav or problems with the message boxes on ccav gui? maybe its working flowless but the mesages are not good enough to show whats going on under the hood?

edit.: im back with ccav final testing on a  vbox machine at work. (the badwidt eater is still angry for bites and bytes)..

When I was running CCAV, I noticed that there was a slight delay when playing a video file with media player classic. Once removed, it was almost immediately, as usual.

i suggest you read through the localizations changelog, you might get some clues about whats coming.

Edit.: Oh!!! O saw a lot of changes (good changes) coming to this next version. Cant wait to test it out on my main machine so I can fill proper bug reports, etc. Looking at the new translation template all seems to be cool and t seems that devs changed some aspects of ccav and changed some options (adding some too) so we can have proper control over what ccav do with our bandwidth. Its going to be an great release... Hope so.. Maybe, this time, Ill move from cis to ccav for good, as some other users too..

Whats do you know about the eta for release when the templates are on schedule? Some idea of it just so I can try to figure when it will be here, on the forum..

I mean, when the translation templates are on schedule how long does comodo usualy takes to release the software? 1 week? 1 month?

Honestly its very random how long it can take for a new release when localizations are released. Iv seen a week but iv also seen months. Looks like a lot of big changes are coming so i dont expect a new release for at least a few weeks.
