You will need to re-install as it will be locked by CIS.

You can delete it. It should not grow so big.
Thanks!

Yeah so I heard but I just deleted it now and there was no problem at all. I hope that no problem should arise in the future.

It holds all trusted vendors and all information about files from the file list. You should perform a clean re-install as it is the most effective way to reset the database.

Hi.

Is it normal for the cmddata file to be above 600MB?

Seems to always slowly grow in size, but not over 1GB, even after reinstalling Windows.

I do notice that sometimes this seems to cause windows to load a little slower but nothing too serious.

P.s. I think this tends to happen more often when using killswitch, but I don't think exclusively.

Just wondering.

Kind regards,

Reece

Hi liosant.

Neither.

At least for Windows 10 and CIS 12, the cmddata file is stored in \ProgramData\Comodo\Cis\Imdb\ and there is only one version of this file with that name.

Kind regards,

Reece

My computer is sending me warnings that it is a running out of space even though I hardly have anything on it. After looking at 1000s of system files I finally found that there is a Comodo cmddata file that is clogging the drive with a whopping 46Gb. Is this really necessary? Can this be refreshed and shrunk or otherwise be reduced in size? I have used CIS for many years and am happy the protection, but if it makes my computer unusable I will have to to uninstall.

Edit: I am not able to uninstall CIS! It gives a message COMODO Endpoint Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. This is terrible. HELP!
