Releasing an RC Hopefully Today or Tomorrow with All Functionality

The GUI is 100% Completed;
The Installer is 100% Completed
Just working on few removal scripts then I'll have a baseline.
Download Server 1

Update link, please (or send in PM).

:-TU    I sure wish I had seen this uninstaller 4 days ago!  I had the usual Virus driver not working  or updating etc and could not uninstall Comodo CIS to reinstall it.  This uninstaller got rid of it quick!   :)

Was able to install the latest CIS with no trouble afterwards.

Thank you     :-TU

I cannot find any link to this tool, other than v0.3 in the very first post of this topic dated April 2011.

Is there any update since then and where can it be found ?

ERROR  IN  THE  OLD TOOL :-

The first post claims
"Changed! Portable - No More Installations"
For that to be true it must work from a removable Flash drive,
in which case CIS.BAT will NOT be running from %systemdrive% but from J:\ (or some-such),
consequently it will NEVER delete any files or folders.
e.g.
Code: [Select]
cd "%systemdrive%\Users\All Users\Application Data\"
IF EXIST "Comodo Downloader" RD /S /Q "Comodo Downloader"
Assuming the tool is held at J:\Tools\CIS\
Then first line of code has no effect,
and the second line will be testing for the existence and attempting removal of
J:\Tools\CIS\"Comodo Downloader"

You need the /D option if CD is to change the drive with the path.

A simple one-off fix for CIS.BAT is to place this one line of code near the beginning of the script
Code: [Select]
CD /D %SYSTEMDRIVE%\

Regards
Alan

this program doesn't uninstall it....
It is NOT intended to.
Read the Instructions for use - it is intended to mop up any odd bits left over AFTER you have Disabled self protection and Uninstalled by THE PROPER MEANS.
My preference for THE PROPER MEANS is Revo-Uninstaller,
which uses the mechanism given by Comodo for Windows Add/Remove to uninstall,
after which Revo-Uninstaller may find more strange bits that ought to go,
AFTER WHICH it is time to try the Tool this topic discusses.
