Icedragon cache size
« on: November 17, 2018, 10:23:30 PM »
Searched for hour or so and found no way to change the cache size in icedragon. Ogten recommends clicking "settings" but I can find no "settings" in my icedragon.

Any help appreciated

Hi john65628! Thank you for the feedback.

You will have to modify the related pref(s) directly on the about:config page.

  • browser.cache.disk.capacity (max: 1048576; 1024 MB)
  • browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Thank you very much,

Andreea

Thank you

Tried changing it several times. It just goes back to the original "browser.cache.disk.capacity;153600."

Am I doing something wrong? I tried just closing the browser and also doing file/save and then closing.

You can change the preferences to:

browser.cache.disk.capacity (max: 1048576; 1024 MB)
browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled to false

If you are using Firefox sync it may affect this values.

Thank you very much,

Andreea
