Welcome to the forums, Paul ~

The backup script does an excellent job for what's it's intended - as a backup when reinstalling, switching systems, etc.  I used it with v2.x on many occasions.

As to editing the settings, that's really not the place for that.  If you're familiar with iptables and command line stuff, you may want to do it that way, but the GUI is really the way such things are done, as that's the way the software was developed.  I'm not aware of any "text" methodology for editing the FW rules.

And no, you can't copy details of the rules.  Nor is v3 different.  If that's something important to you, you can submit in the appropriate "Wishlist".

(wOw! is my 1st partecipation in this board)
Well.. I've appreciated many intersting things in this forum. Sometimes confused.. but after having spent many times reading your usefull suggestions, now i'd like to contribute me too with my IMHO when possible. Considering my never achieve IT knowledge you can stay very relaxed..  (:LGH)

Anyway now.. since i can't install CFP 3 on my little Windows 2003 Server Standard (eMule dedicated) and having done many rules for test in order to improve my home network privacy and security ..i decided to resum thi intersting post adding my personal "evolution" and Italian translation of your fantastic Backup Script v1.5 (at the moment seems not to be the italian version of th v1.5 batch file, even if the italian version of the great Pandlouk is a very good starting point..  (:WIN)

Many thanks to all people sharing time and energy to this fantastic COMODO prodouct.. hoping will be free for ever!
