unable to uninstall
« on: March 30, 2009, 05:29:14 PM »
due to issues with installation (does not work and cannot see certificates, not sure why) I am trying to uninstall but I cannot.  the installer reports an error (see attached).

I know have a broken email client (Outlook 2007) and no email.

I am on Vista Enterprise 32bit.

TIA

Hi Paul,

We were unable to reproduce your issue.
Below is the list of actions for removing Comodo SecureEmail manually:

  • close all mail's clients;
  • run LSPFix (can be downloaded from here: http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/lspfix.htm or from attachment of this post);
  • choose CEmLsp.dll from left list in the LSPFix dialog and remove it;
  • download attachment to this post (files.zip) and unzip files unreg.bat and move.reg files to Program Files\Comodo folder or to folder where CSE is installed;
  • launch unreg.bat;
  • reboot PC;
  • delete CEmLsp.dll from Windows\System32 folder;
  • delete Common and SecureEmail folders with files;
  • restore mail's clients settings manually.

Feel free to ask any questions on this.

Regards, Eugene.
