Is It Possible to Exclude Files\Folders from CCE Scan ?
« on: August 02, 2015, 06:23:08 PM »
Hello,

Is there a way to exclude files and folders from a CCE scan ?

I cannot find a way to do so in CCE... maybe I am not seeing it.

Thanks,

HJLBX

Hi hjlbx,
You maybe able to achieve the desired result from using a custom scan.

Kind regards.

The issue I am attempting to circumvent is that CCE detects malicious files contained in CIS Quarantine folder.

Yes.  A custom scan will work, but must be configured every time... is that not correct ?

Best Regards,

Hi hjlbx,
Yes correct as far as I know.
CCE was originally designed as a standalone portable application for cleaning infected systems and not intended to be used as a regular scanner.
I suspect the above is the reason behind not having permanent exclusion options.

Kind regards.
