the error with the system restore is the only one that appeared again today. i was scanning with CCE just now, and after the pc rebooted, i got a message saying that windows can't access the specified device/file/path. i've made a screenshot.

That sounds like a problem with access rights to cce.exe. Can you show the Security tab of the Properties of CCE?

Add a  PATH variable to the Environmental Variables.
Back click on Computer > Properties > Advanced System settings > Environmental Variables> New > Variable Name = PATH > Variable Value = c:\Windows\SysWOW64\;C:\Windows\System32\;C:\Windows\;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;c:\Program Files\;c:\Program Files (x86)\ > OK > OK > OK.
Autoruns will then be able to find all of the drivers and what it says is a problem is a problem.  I pulled out 2 bits of Serious Malware with it's help.

Goodluck,

Jan
