Firefox and Chrome crossing version 100 boundary and there is a problem?
Integers are at least 32-bit these days.

Firefox 98 removes other search engines & then make your default search engine "Google"  >:-D

Quote
If a user wishes to continue using an engine that has been removed, they will need to install a third-party search plugin or extension for that engine. Optionally, they can configure another search engine from the ones available.
Add or remove a search engine in Firefox

I am still keeping the Firefox v16.0.1 as portable  :azn: That is my first browser of choice when I got my first personal computer in 2012. That browser still  looks great  :'(

Majority of people do not care what is Firefox what is Chrome.. Once they enter the internet with the blue "e" icon, now they enter with Google. They do not care what is security, what is SSL, what is Linux or open source or any other things. Most of them don't even know the difference between ads and real content  ;D Bundled softwares are used most. Edge users growing while Firefox's user number decreasing. Microsoft bundles it, Google bundles Chrome on Android devices, Apple bundles Safari on iPhone and iPads.

Mozilla is entangled with too much politics.. Firefox is by default browser on most Linux distros. But those people are knowledgeable and well-read. (I assume this because they are using Linux  ;) ) They know what Mozilla is and then they moving off from Firefox  :-\ The fact, Firefox even loosing it's core userbase. They do not like the direction of Mozilla. Mozilla stand beside with un-trusted companies by it's users. They choosed Firefox for some reason & but now they know Mozilla is different than before.. Mozilla forgotten who they are, forgotter who their userbase is.. Finally we have most colorfull Firefox ever!! Yay!  ;D

Waterfox acquired by an advertising company System One.

K-Meleon is dead (there are new releases on their forum based on Goanna.)

Pale Moon, only up-to-date not Mozilla browser, UXP , (I have installed btw). Pale Moon community is protective of the browser, they do not accept any idea from anyone. They insult the new users who asks anything to learn.

So what will happen to Firefox? Unfortunately, Firefox is now living the last days of it's life. It is dying.. Firefox users are shifting to Brave or other old hard standing forks but their numbers cannot change the world! A pity!

My good old Firefox  :-* I'll miss you much.

It will die too.. if someone won't take the core and continue it's development. This is what open source code is.

It is a bit off topic but Brave seems the lesser evil to me in a world without Firefox. For now, I have LibreWolf, Brave, Pale Moon.

To add some other Firefox forks: Basilisk and Serpent.
This browser is created and maintained by the team behind Pale Moon, and is a fully independent fork of the Mozilla/Firefox code.
