Translation Off Topic/Discussion/Help
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:16:45 AM »
Hi Guys,

This is a new thread because there are still some languages which are not in version 3.9 of CIS yet so hopefully here we can continue uploading not only new languages here to be in CIS 3.9, But also current languages included; (If you find spelling errors, etc, you can edit and upload here with a little change log for developers).

No need to worry about Registrations. We welcome anyone to help translate, and the translations will be checked before adding to CIS. Ideally, 3 people per language is the aim.

(:s*)Translators Who Help Translate Will Be Rewarded With Comodo Paid Products Of Their Choice(:s*)

People who help translate the languages not included in current Comodo Internet Security 3.9 Release, And past and future translators who continue to maintain languages (fix typos, etc if found) will be rewarded with Comodo Paid products of their choice. Paid Products such as Comodo Internet Security Pro, A value of $39.00 (Which has Trust Connect, A $49.00 Annually Value, and LivePCSupport, A Best value of $99.00, included) and Comodo Online Backup, A Annually Value of $50.00, 10GIG Space, can be asked for if desired. Please send a Private Message to Melih (Founder, CEO of Comodo) for organization of your invitation code for Comodo Paid Products. You do NOT need to register for translations and/or for Comodo Paid Products once translations are finished, and/or maintained. There is also no time pressure, but the sooner the better.

The following languages have been included with the 3.9 release:

1. Arabic

Funny if people join the cause just to be rewarded. I signed up for this not to get something from COMODO. I already got the best gift I could have - a free full version of the best security product there is.

People work just for money, Not because they enjoy it. ;) Anyway if the job is done for translations, and done well, then this is your salary... In a Comodo fashion. :)

The text in Comodo tipsar is in English in 3.10… :-\

Should be in Swedish, as it was in 3.9.

In cfp.swedish.lang
Code: [Select]
<string id="788" value="Gå med i Comodos forum\n ...och träffa tusentals andra Comodo-användare för att ställa frågor, finna svar, ge förslag, om våra produkter." />is exactly as it was.

What is wrong? :-\

Thanks. :)

Hi!
Is there any way to test the cavscan language file with cavscan.exe? Many text placeholders seem to be too small or off the mark in the template files, so I managed to change many of them in the cfp language file, because I can test the results of those changes. But there’s no way to do the same with the cavscan file - cavscan.exe just won’t start.

Any help appreciated

Hi HVdogbert,

If you right click a file or a folder and select COMODO Antivirus, cavscan.exe starts. ;)

D'oh!
Thanks for the tip, JoWa! I should have figured it out myself, I guess...
I've been using CFP for about three years by now... or maybe more. I'm not sure. But I never used the AV part before, not before the last week.
I have a NOD32 subscription and I don't actually need the AV part of CIS myself, so CAV is a bit new to me - I installed full CIS a bit less than a week ago on a virtual machine only for testing CIS language files.
