if you use the new version of comodo it is not able to run on vista or window 7 but the old version 1.1 will

 ???  Er...most all the recent versions of CIS should be able to run on Vista....1.1...that was a longgggggggggggggggggg timeeeeeeee agooooooooooooooooo............. Now we are on versions like 3.5   88)

However, he is reminding me of something, there should be a post showing the History of all the CF/CFP/CIS releases

I presume by 1.1 you meant the installer not the program all recent CIS 3.5 versions work with Vista.

It doesn't work properly on Windows 7, simply because it's not supported. If you by 'the new version' mean the BETA-version released yesterday, it's intended for testing only, and might, or might not work. The latest stable version will work on both XP and Vista (32/64-bit).

Your assertion is not strictly true.

If you exit the GUI (cfp.exe) and then restart CIS as Administrator, the Import/Export of the Configuration is then possible.

Not ideal by any means.
