Wating for Agent connection... forever

I installed CES on a Wiondows 2008 Server and want to deploy to a Windows 2003 Server. In Endpoint Security Manager Console I am at Step 7 to the point ""Waiting for agent connection..." and it waits forever. Status is "Outdated CES uninstalling" (which is courious, there is no outdated CES on the Windows 2003 server).

AgnServer.exe and tvnserver.exe are up and running. Firewall is disabled at the client and at the server.

I tried now to install CIS_Setup_R60DFR_6.1.276867.2813_x86.msi (copied from C:\ProgramData\COMODO\Installer  to the Windows 2003 Server client) manually and got the error message "COMODO Internet Security is not applicable for server os".

How so? I thought this product was in fact for Windows server?

Hello Haary,

We fully support servers. I have a 2003 x64 server and a 2003 SBS x86 server in the demo environment so I am not 100% sure what the error is there.

Can your ESM host access admin$ on the 2003 server? This sounds a little like a permissions error...

On the server 2003 on which the installation fails, please uninstall manually or from the ESM console Comodo ESM Agent and download from the ESM console the offline installer for CES from Preferences->Packages->tab Checked in package->Comodo Endpoint... -> click on download offline package.This package includes the Comodo ESM agent and CES. Please copy the offline package on the server 2003 computer and try the install manually.A log is created during the install.
Please copy paste the log entries here, if it fails again.

I copied ManagedCesafsSetup-6.1.276867.2813.exe to the Windows 2003 server and got  the following result after installation:

Installed product(s):
   - COMODO ESM Agent was installed;
   - Comodo Endpoint Security/Comodo Antivirus for Servers (Failed).

I attached the whole log. Interesing is here:

Action start 11:20:47: LaunchConditions.

Yes

Is it a windows server 2003 SP2? x86 or x64?

It is a x86 Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition, Service Pack 1 (not SP2)

Could the missing SP2 be the problem? I'll install SP2 on the server an try again. I'll be back as soon as I'm done.

Hello Haary,

Please uninstall the ESM agent, install SP2 on the server and try again the install (ESM agent+CES) from within the ESM console.If the installation fails, please check if you have in %temp% on the endpoint a log file COMODO Internet Security dbgout.log . Please reply with the log.
