Avast - Comodo Sandbox
« on: February 24, 2011, 04:50:18 AM »
Hi everyone. Yesterday Avast 6 free version was released; it has a sandbox.
Does any know if there is an opportunity not to install Avast sandbox in the free version?
As fas as I know, it conflicts with Comodo sandox.
I do this question here 'cause it seems there are many Avast users in here, with Comodo firewall obviously.
Thanks.

I have both programs running and so far no problems, you can disable Avast sandbox if you want to.
Avast Free - 20.9.2437 - Comodo 12.2.2.7062 Firewall with D+ - Winpatrol Free.
On demand - MBAM - Super Antispyware.
Windows 10 64bit - 16GB Ram.

Since I haven't see you two before I want to warm welcome to comodo forums! :)

You have to see if you can disable avast sandbox. Add  the complete avast folder here CIS ---> Defense+ ---> Defense+ Settings ---> Execution control Settings ---> Detect shellcode injections (i.e. Buffer overflow protection) ---> Exclusions ---> Add ---> Browse...

If you have wishes/suggestions regarding Avast I suggest you make a user account at forum.avast.com and write your wishes there.

Thanks to all! I posted here 'cause Comodo Firewall is my first security product. The AV depends on promotions, which will soon expire, and given that many here use Avast, it seemed more sensible to post here for any incompatibility problems. Personally, I don't like Avast, which, in my opinion has obvious problems of drive-by. However, in absence of better ...

Thank you very much for your help.
