What to do with an unlimited access alert [v6]

You need to be particularly careful with 'Unlimited Access' alerts as the program concerned is asking for a very high level of access to your computer.


  • If you are absolutely sure the file is safe, allow it to run by pressing 'allow' on the alert and 'always trust', or by going to Advanced Settings ~ File Rating ~ Unrecognised files and chosing to move the file to trusted files. In a few cases CIS may not remember your decision, and you may need to use the removal techniques here.
  • If you are not absolutely sure, press the sandbox button. The sandbox will protect you while CIS looks up the file to see if it is safe, or submits it for analysis if it's not on the safe list. Your software may still run as normal, but if it does not try re-starting the file to see if you get another UA alert (CIS may have looked it up meanwhile). If you do please select sandbox or block, and wait until it is pronounced safe or otherwise by CIS's background manual analysis process (this may take weeks). You may be able to speed this up by submitting it here. As a quick but less certain alternative use Comodo's automated analysis services here.   If you are getting repeated alerts during this period you can try the Workarounds.
