I am contacting you to see if you could assist me on creating a USB ISO image of CRD .

I tried with CD and USB both and both times apon booting up process with GRUB in Lynix it locks up with GREEN SCREEN

shows something about IRQ  or ACPI something about trying a different configuration.

anyways i am a lost here !

I give up ! !!!!

I really can't figure out how to boot it up on my system.

Windows 7 x64bit SP1

Tried both CD / USB

Tried with Unetbootin / SARDU / XBOOT / YUMI

the issue / problem i am having is :

apon booting up PREWINDOW it goes to a menu

COMODO REscue Disk 1.1.232326.14

giving 2 options :

1 ~ GRAPHIC

2 ~ TEXT

either one picked i keep getting a LOCKUP with a GREEN SCREEN FREEZE

last command line shown to lock up is :

PCI : Using ACPI for IRQ routing

anyone have a clue ?  ???

is there a site or page i could just d/l the makeshift ISO ?

thanks ,

Crown

Yes, please try Unetbootin http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/  or UltrsISO http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/ or some other similar tools.

Best Regards.

Dr Web has a rescue disc for both CD & USB. For USB you dont have to do anything, just download, run, select USB & create rescue disc on USB. Its so simple...........Why dont you guyz make rescue disc for USB like this, simple?

use following menu.lst entries to make it work

First : Copy the entire contents of the cd to a folder on your USB flash drive
example : K:\iso\Comodo\

menu.lst:
title Comodo Rescue Disk 1.1.232326.14
kernel /iso/comodo/boot/bzimage
initrd /iso/comodo/boot/rootfs.gz

Sorry but I am not understanding what exactly you are recommending me to do !

Only thing I understand is create a folder ISO / COmodo in the root of USB

Now as far as unzipping ISO files which ones ? and should i use winzip ?

Read this :http://www.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/grub4dos

Install grub4dos to the instructions under "part1"

When you're done you have 2 files to your usb stick:

grldr
menu.lst

open menu.lst with notepad if you do not have the file you create with notepad and add the following line

title Comodo Rescue Disk 1.1.232326.14
kernel /comodo/boot/bzimage
initrd /comodo/boot/rootfs.gz

save and close notepad

Create on the usb stick the folder "comodo"

Now it should look like:
grldr            (file)
menu.lst      (file)
comodo       (folder)

open the comodo iso you downloaded with winrar, winzip or similar

now you see
boot            (folder)
index.htm     (file)
md5sum.       (file)
readme         (file)
style.css        (file)

copy everything on your USB stick into the comodo folder

Now you're ready to restart your pc and boot from your USB flash drive

Have Fun  ;D

sorry for my bad english  :'(

hm okey ....

download the file in this post

format your usb drive (fat32) use Windows (rightclick)

extract the file and run usb_instal

Create on the usb stick the folder "comodo"

Now it should look like:
grldr            (file)
menu.lst      (file)
comodo       (folder)

open the comodo iso you downloaded with winrar, winzip or similar

now you see
boot            (folder)
index.htm     (file)
md5sum.       (file)
readme         (file)
style.css        (file)

copy everything on your USB stick into the comodo folder

Now you're ready to restart your pc and boot from your USB flash drive

hope it work now ;)
